Agentic Workflow

An agentic workflow is a business process carried out by AI agents that plan and complete the steps toward a goal, rather than a person clicking through them or a fixed script running end to end.

A traditional automation follows preset rules: if this, then that. An agentic workflow sets a goal and lets the agent work out the steps, calling tools, reading data, and adjusting when something is unexpected.

In a CRM, that might be handling an inbound lead from first touch to a booked meeting, or reviewing a pipeline and flagging at-risk deals. Guardrails and approval points define where the agent acts freely and where it pauses for a person.
