User Permission

User Permissions are the specific access rights configured for an individual CRM user — defining what objects they can access, what actions they can perform on those objects (view, create, edit, delete), and what fields within records are visible to them. Permissions are typically inherited from a user's assigned profile (baseline access) and augmented by permission sets (targeted additional capabilities). Configuring user permissions correctly requires balancing security (ensuring sensitive data is not accessible to users without a business need) and usability (ensuring users can perform all functions their role requires without friction). Misconfigured permissions — either too restrictive or too permissive — are among the most common sources of CRM user dissatisfaction and security compliance findings in enterprise environments.
