Tasks are the operational unit of CRM-driven activity management: they translate pipeline strategy and process requirements into individual daily actions that reps and managers can see, track, and report on. When tasks are created automatically by CRM workflows — for example, creating a follow-up task when a deal advances to the demo stage — they ensure consistent process execution without requiring managers to manually remind reps of every required next step.
