Price Book

A Price Book in CRM is a structured catalog of products and their associated list prices, used by sales representatives as the source of truth when building quotes and configuring deals. Organizations with multiple market segments, geographic regions, or customer tiers typically maintain multiple price books — a standard list price book, a partner discount price book, an enterprise volume pricing book — with CRM access controls determining which price book a representative or partner can use when quoting. Price book accuracy is critical: a rep using an outdated price book may quote a price that has changed, creating contract disputes during negotiation or revenue recognition issues after closure.
