Partner Account

A Partner Account is a CRM or PRM record that represents a channel partner organization — distinct from a standard customer account — storing the partner's profile information, tier classification, certification history, assigned partner manager, performance metrics, active deal registrations, and MDF balance. Separating partner accounts from customer accounts in the CRM data model is important for both reporting accuracy (partner revenue should not be mixed with direct customer revenue without attribution) and relationship management (partners have different engagement cadences, incentive structures, and service needs than customers). Well-maintained partner account records give partner managers a consolidated view of each relationship that supports informed, evidence-based partner business reviews.
