Lead Capture
Lead Capture is the process of collecting prospect contact and firmographic information — through web forms, event badge scans, chatbot interactions, inbound call registrations, or direct sales entry — and recording it in the CRM as new leads for follow-up. The quality of lead capture affects everything downstream: incomplete records missing email addresses, company names, or industry classifications are harder to qualify, harder to route, and harder to nurture. Modern CRM platforms support lead capture through native web form builders, API integrations with marketing automation, and mobile apps that allow field sales teams to capture contacts in real time at trade shows or customer visits.
