Funnel Analysis

Funnel Analysis is the examination of conversion rates between each stage of the sales or marketing funnel to identify where prospects are dropping out and quantify the revenue impact of improving conversion at specific bottleneck stages. In CRM-driven organizations, funnel analysis uses pipeline history data to answer questions such as: What percentage of MQLs convert to SQLs? How does conversion from proposal to negotiation compare across industry segments? Which rep cohort has the highest late-stage win rate? These insights drive targeted improvements — better qualification criteria, stronger sales enablement content, revised pricing strategy — that compound in their effect on revenue outcomes over time.
