Data Permission
Data Permission in CRM refers to the rules that control which users can access, view, modify, or delete specific records or fields within the system. Permissions are typically configured at multiple levels: object-level (can this user access opportunity records at all?), field-level (can this user see the contract value field?), and record-level (can this user see accounts outside their assigned territory?). Proper permission configuration is both a security requirement and an operational necessity — enabling teams to work effectively with the data they need while protecting sensitive commercial information from inappropriate access. Misconfigured permissions are a common source of compliance risk and a frequent cause of CRM user frustration.
